BIOTECHNICA 2010 - Hannover, Germany
BIOTECHNICA, Europe's leading annual biotech and life sciences event, will run from 5 to 7 October in Hannover, Germany, with an emphasis on business development and knowledge transfer. Established in 1985, BIOTECHNICA is comprised of a trade fair, a partnering service, a conference, an award competition, and a career program.
Stephan Ph. Kühne, Member of the Board at BIOTECHNICA organizer Deutsche Messe AG, explains that, “BIOTECHNICA is where the industry turns for inspiration. Sellers meet buyers, investors evaluate trends and innovations, peers network with each other, and the latest scientific findings reach a broad professional audience.”
According to Kühne, the trade fair features small, highly specialized firms exhibiting alongside such industry-leading names as Corning Life Sciences, Eppendorf, Merck, Qiagen, Sartorius, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Concurrently, the partnering function helps potential business partners identify and connect with each other while the conference – with more than 500 speakers from science, industry and politics – promotes education and knowledge-sharing.
